Sri Hemkunt Sahib 2004

SRI HEMKUNT SAHIB JI 2004
Each year in the month of September, Sant Baba Mann Singh Ji visits Sachkand Sri Hemkunt Sahib. In the year 2004 Baba Ji alongside 30 vehicles of sangat from around the world paid tribute to yatra Sri Hemkunt Sahib Ji. Once Baba Ji carried out an Ardaas in Guru Ji’s hazuri, the sangat left Gurudwara Sachkand Isher Darbar (Jurasi Khurd Kurukshetra) for the amazing journey ahead. Each vehicle travelled in sequence towards Gurudwara Rishikesh Sahib Ji. It was hear that Baba Ji carried out the second ardaas. Sangat from all around the world stood alongside Baba Ji in the divine journey towards the following Gurudwara.

Once the vehicles had reached Gurudwara Gobind Ghat Sahib Ji, the sangat rested for the enormous pilgrimage ahead. Baba Ji ensured that everybody was in a fine state to set off the next day. The next morning the third ardaas was carried out by Baba Ji and once blessing was received from Guru Ji, the sangat set off to reach Gurudwara Gobind Dham Sahib Ji. Again rest was required as the upward climb of 13km was accomplished. At Gurudwara Gobind Dham Sahib Ji, Baba Ji carried out the fourth ardaas to receive hukam from Guru Ji with regards to successfully completing the remaining 6km. After the all mighty kirpa of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Baba Ji and the sangat reached the epic surrounding of Sachkand Sri Hemkunt Sahib Ji. All members of the sangat were required to take ‘ishnaan’(holy bath) in the holy sarovar of the Gurdwara.

In temperatures reaching minus degrees each member of the sangat took holy ishnaan and paid their respect. Again with the almighty blessing of Guru Ji, Baba Ji sat legs crossed in the holy sarovar without twitching for an amazing 29 minutes. (Note: Baba Ji has sat in the sarovar for an amazing 58 minutes on previous occasions). The sangat were amazed at how spiritual the experience had been. Watching Baba Ji sit untouched in the ice-cold sarovar was most certainly a sight formed with Guru Ji’s kirpa.

Once Baba Ji had taken ishnaan, the sangat sat in the darbar sahib at temperatures below freezing. Baba Ji performed kirtan and astonished the sangat with a peaceful theme of simran, which echoed high above the tree line, in the sacred mountains of Sri Hemkunt Sahib Ji. The fifth and final ardaas was carried out by Baba Ji, in which the majority of sangat experienced tears due to such peace and spiritual divinity. The ardaas was aided at thanking Guru Ji for the total kirpa and blessing which had been granted to all members of the sangat. The yatra was most certainly an amazing experience, blessed by Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji for all members of sangat from around the world.
