Tour of United Kingdom August 2009

With the blessing of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Sant Baba Mann Singh Ji Pehowa Wale visited the UK in August 2009. After numerous requests and masses of Sangat asking for Sant Baba Mann Singh Ji to visit the UK, Baba Ji and the Jatha officially arrived in the UK to be largely greeted by the UK Sangat.

Baba Ji remained in the UK for a very short period as they had large scale programmes arranged throughout September in the Punjab/Haryana areas of India. Although Baba Ji specifically attended a Sri Akhand Path Sahib programme at the residence of Bhai Gurmit Singh in Birmingham, countless Gurdwara Sahib’s throughout the UK humbly requested Baba Ji and the Jatha to carry out Kirtan on several occasions, however due to the lack of time and such short notice Baba Ji were not able to fulfil their requests.

The Sikh Youth within the UK, who undoubtedly illustrated unparalleled growing support, carried out countless requests and benthia for Sant Baba Mann Singh Ji Pehowa Wale to carry out Kirtan at the residence of Bhai Gurmit Singh during the Sri Akhand Path Sahib programme, for the Chardi Kala of the Panth and to strengthen the Sikh youth in helping to combat deceit and divisions caused by anti-Sikh elements.

Taking into account the love shown by the Sikh Community, Baba Ji agreed to carry out kirtan at the residence of Bhai Gurmit Singh. Upon finding out about the programme all were welcome and hundreds of members of the Sikh Community attended to listen and seek the blessing of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj.

Baba Ji thanked the Sangat of the UK for showing such love and support and requested all to vest full faith in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Baba Ji stated all needs could be met if one vested full faith in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, thus it was a request for all to move forward with principles set by our eternal Guru Sahib Ji.

With no promises made as to when they would arrange another tour, Baba Ji informed countless Gurdwara Sahibs that during their next visit to the UK they would try their upmost to take out a longer time period and fulfil the requests of the Sikh Community. Baba Ji stated the tour was only successful due to the blessing of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj.
