Tour of Europe June 2008 - July 2008

With the blessing of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Sant Baba Mann Singh Ji visited various countries throughout Europe from mid June 2008 until early July 2008. Gurdwara Sahib’s from numerous countries across Europe requested Baba Ji to visit in order to celebrate the 300th Gurgaddi Devas of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Baba Ji was greeted by hundreds of Gursikhs upon arrival in Italy, where Kirtan Darbars were held throughout the country for a period of 6 days. In remembrance of the Shaheedi Purab of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji many Gurdwara Sahib committees requested Baba Ji to carry out Kirtan an enlighten the Sangat on the martyrdom carried out by our 5th Guru Sahib Ji. Baba Ji carried out Kirtan, followed by an Amrit Sanchar where many joined Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Khalsa Panth.

Baba Ji then travelled to Barcelona in Spain, where yet again hundreds of devotees greeted Baba Ji on arrival at the Airport and welcomed them to carry out Kirtan Darbars. A three day Kirtan Darbar was held in Spain, however due to lack of accommodation at the Gurdwara Sahib for the masses that had arrived, a special programme hall was booked and Kirtan Darbars were held there for 3 consecutive days. With Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji's Blessing approx 1100 names were given to the organisers, of sangat, who wanted to take Guru Sahib Ji’s Amrit and join the Khalsa Panth. Another Amrit Sanchar was carried out and Baba Ji congratulated those who had come under the fold of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Baba Ji then travelled to Paris in France, were once more various Gurdwara Sahibs had insisted Baba Ji carry out Kirtan. Due to the overwhelming demand by the Sangat in order for Baba Ji to carry out Kirtan, various programmes had been overbooked and due to the lack of time not all were possible. However four Kirtan Darbars were held throughout France, in addition to Baba Ji visiting many houses where Sangat had welcomed Baba Ji with open arms.

Following the Kirtan Darbars and Amrit Sanchar in Paris, Baba Ji travelled to Brussels in Belgium where yet again they were awaited by Sangat in masses. A 6 day Kirtan Darbar was held throughout Belgium, in which hundreds joined Guru Sahib Ji’s Khalsa Panth. Baba Ji also travelled to Amsterdam in Holland and Vienna in Austria where Kirtan Darbars were organised and Sangat in masses welcomed Baba Ji upon arrival. All Gurdwara Sahibs informed Baba Ji they were welcome at any time in the future and open heartedly requested Baba Ji to visit in the coming future.

At each and every Kirtan Darbar, Baba Ji congratulated the Sangat and Organisers, most importantly thanking them for showing such love and devotion. Baba Ji informed the Sangat of the plans made for the 300th Gurgaddi Devas to be celebrated at Sachkand Sri Hazoor Sahib later this year. Baba Ji further stated nobody sitting here today would be able to attend the 400th celebration and therefore appealed for all to take time out and attend such an auspicious occasion in the Sikh Calendar. Baba Ji stated the 2008 Europe tour was only successful due to the Blessing of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, in which all Sikhs should vest faith and hope in order for all success and peace to be obtained.
