With the ultimate Blessing of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Sant Baba Mann Singh Ji Pehowa Wale visited Kenya for the first time to continue the aim of preaching Guru Ji’s Sikhi. Baba Ji arrived in Kenya on 14th May 2005 to carry out a 10 day tour followed by an Amrit Sanchar allowing the Sangat of Kenya to join our Guru Ji’s path.
Each day a Kirtan Darbar was carried out by Baba Ji, in which hundreds of the Kenyan Sangat flourished the Gurdwara to listen and learn about our religions teachings set out by Guru Ji. The Gurdwara Committees alongside the Sangat were amazed by the amount of Sangat each day. With daily demand for Baba Ji to do Kirtan on an increase Baba Ji carried out double Kirtan Diwaans at various Gurdwara’s on a Sunday. Kirtan Darbars were carried out, at many Kenyan Gurdwara’s, including Ramgarhia Sikh Temple, Sri Gurdwara Bazar, Sri Gurdwara Ramgarhia Sahib and many others.
Whilst visiting many Gurdwara’s throughout Kenya Baba Ji also paid tribute to Gurdwara Ramgarhia Sahib (Railway), where Maharaj Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Rara Sahib Wale carried out Diwaans in the early 1950’s. The Sangat stated that Baba Ji had broken all previous records of recorded Sangat at the Kenyan Gurdwara’s since Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Rara Sahib Wale’s visit in 1952. Some Diwaans were held at 7.00-9.00 in the morning to satisfy the Sangat’s increase in demand.
During the time Baba Ji wasn’t performing Kirtan the majority of daily hours were spent travelling across the Kenyan state, visiting houses in which the Sangat had requested Baba Ji to stay at. It was clear by the final day that Baba Ji had won the hearts of the Kenyan Sangat. An Amrit Sanchar was carried out in which many Sikhs of Kenya became part of the Khalsa Panth. With the feeling of emotion and love for Sikhi, the final Kirtan Darbar was comprehensively fully scaled with Sangat. People sat in the “Jhora Ghar” (shoes) just to listen to what was being said.
Baba Ji stated to all Kenya Sangat that if ever there was a need for somebody to uplift the souls of fellow Gursikhs all faith should be vested into Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Baba Ji assured it was from here that all needs of a Gursikh could be obtained. Following the final Kirtan Darbar Baba Ji alongside the Jatha were presented with a Siropa each, to illustrate the appreciation by the Kenyan Sangat.

Baba Ji announced infront of all the Sangat and in Guru Ji’s Hazuri that the Kenyan Tour could not have been carried out without the Kirpa of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji our everlasting Guru.
