33rd Barsi of Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj Rara Sahib Wale 2008

Roof tops were full with Sangat, full of faith and devotion to the sensational life Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji lived. As Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji led from the forefront in a Palki Sahib made out of Gold, hundreds of thousands followed behind in what was to be an amazing day. Shabads were sang and numerous salutes were given on route to the marching army of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Once Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji arrived in the Darbar Sahib, Kirtan Darbar was carried out by the hundreds of Sant Mahapruaks who had also arrived to pay tribute to the life of Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji. The Kirtan Darbar ran throughout the entire night in the form of a Rehnsbhai Kirtan, in which the Jathedars of the Sikh Holy Thakhats also paid tribute.

Singh Sahib Giani Trilochan Singh Ji of Sri Kesgarh Sahib and Singh Sahib Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji of Sri Akal Thakhat Sahib, addressed the hundreds of thousands by congratulating them on attending such a devotional event. They further went on to state they would support Sant Baba Mann Singh Ji hand in hand in preparation for the 300th Gurgaddi celebrations which were to take place in October 2008 at Sachkhand Sri Hazoor Sahib Ji Nanded. Sant Baba Mann Singh Ji informed the Jathedars that a huge Nagar Kirtan was planned to leave Sri Fatehgarh Sahib Ji Sirhind on the 24th October 2008, visiting hundreds of historical Gurdwara Sahibs on route to Sachkhand Sri Hazoor Sahib Ji Nanded. Baba Ji stated it is planned that the Nagar Kirtan would arrive into Delhi where Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji gave Shaheedi and yet the line of Sangat would reach back to Sri Fatehgarh Sahib Ji Sirhind where Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Sahibzade gave Shaheedi.

The Jathedars assured Baba Ji that full support would be given for the Nagar Kirtan preparations from not only themselves, but the SGPC who also has huge plans for the 300th celebrations. Furthermore they congratulated Baba Ji for celebrating the remembrance of Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji on such an enormous level as Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji had themselves lived a life of preaching Sri Granth Sahib Ji’s teachings.

As the Kirtan Darbar continued throughout the night, Sant Mahapuraks from all over India also paid tribute Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji. Baba Ji thanked all that arrived and Siropas were given as a sign of appreciation for those taking part in the annual celebrations. Baba Ji stated the following year would be celebrated on an even higher level, however such events were only possible with the Blessing of our eternal Guru Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
